Farmworker housing community comprised of 47 homes in Half Moon Bay, CA

Out of tragedy comes new hope. Stone Pine Cove is an affordable housing project built in response to a mass shooting event that occurred in Half Moon May, California, on January 23, 2023. On that date, a lone gunmen killed seven people and left an eight with critical injuries. This event shed light on the need for safe and permanent housing for these vital members of the community.

Stone Pine Cove consists of 47 single family manufactured homes ranging in size from one to three bedrooms and 423 to 860 square feet. From the date of the shooting in January 2023 to project completion will be about 2.5 years, an extremely quick turn time in the world of affordable housing. All homes have a stand-alone storage sheds and the community offers a garden, children’s playground, walking paths and community management office.

Bigfoot Homes is a proud partner in the creation of this community, providing all 47 manufactured homes, modular office building and related installation services. The single family homes were built by Skyline Champion and will be installed and completed in a lightning fast 75 days from start to finish.
